The
Company was established in November 1963 by Ron Brown, who had then been
in the weighing Machine Trade for twenty years, first as an apprentice
then as an engineer and salesman. At this time the business, located at
Basford, was based mainly on service and sales to the retail section,
coal merchants, etc.
Over the years since its inception, the nature of the work undertaken by the Company has developed considerably until now the larger part is concerned with all types of industry, e.g. food processors, abattoirs, machinery manufacturers, caravan manufacturers, scrap merchants, as well as National Health Service hospitals and clinics (and many more).
Sales, repair, calibration, hire and installation of all types of Weighing Machines from laboratory balances through to weighbridges is undertaken. We also supply and maintain parts - counting machines ranging inwards from O.OOO1g; these are used for stocktaking and batch handling.
In 1995 the company undertook to design in-house a "weighing instrument"; after 4 years of R & D, EC type approval by NWML was gained at first submission. The company now manufactures in house the instrument to compliment its range of weighing platforms from 300mm up to weighbridges, many of which can be linked to computer systems. Overhead track machinery is also fabricated.
